Richard K. Chiu, D.O.
Dr. Richard Chiu is a board certified Ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal surgery.
Dr. Chiu's special areas of interest include macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, uveitis, and inherited disease of the vitreous and retina. He is a clinical investigator of national research studies.
Dr. Chiu graduated from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. His internship was at Riverside Osteopathic Hospital in Trenton, MI, and he did his residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit Mi. Dr. Chiu also performed a two year residency at the National Retina Institute in Towson, MD.
