Dr. Jonathan A. Seidenberg is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist and the President and CEO of Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates. He is Chief of Ophthalmology at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center and Harford Memorial Hospital in Harford County. In addition to these institutions, Dr. Seidenberg is also the President/Medical director at the state-of-the-art, Mid-Atlantic Surgery Pavilion, located in Aberdeen, MD.
Dr. Seidenberg is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and has attained a Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Protzko is a board certified ophthalmologist and a Diplomat of the American Academy of Ophthalmology with comprehensive training in medical and surgical eye care.
Dr. Protzko's expertise ranges from advanced refractive cataract surgery, including Femto laser techniques, depth of focus (the new Symfony lens), multifocal, and toric intraocular lenses, to comprehensive services in ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
He also has extensive experience in reconstructive and rejuvenative surgery of the eyelids (Oculoplastic Surgery), and non-surgical techniques, including Botox.
Dr. Protzko is the Director of Clinical Research at SPEye Associates and has served as Principal Investigator for scores of clinical trials. He is a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
Dr. Candice Giordano is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist and an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology with comprehensive training in medical and surgical eye care.
Dr. Giordano is a Baltimore native, who completed her undergraduate education at Bucknell University, where she graduated with honors in 2002. She then went on to attend Jefferson Medical College, where she received the Carroll R. Mullen Memorial Prize for excellence in ophthalmology and graduated with honors in 2007.
Before joining Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates, Dr. Giordano completed her ophthalmology residency and surgical training at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Neutze is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist and a Bel Air native, specializing in pediatric ophthalmology as well as general ophthalmology and cataract surgery. Dr. Neutze graduated in 2004 from Salisbury University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.
In 2008, she graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Neutze completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville Pennsylvania. It was at Geisinger Medical Center where she then completed her Residency in Ophthalmology, serving as Chief Resident from 2011-2012.
In 2013, Dr. Neutze completed a Pediatric Fellowship at Nemours/A.I. Dupont Hospital for Children, in Wilmington, DE.
Dr. David D. Reed is a Board-Certified Optometrist with extensive training in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and completed his residency at the highly selective Baltimore Veterans Medical Center (BVMC), where he worked with area glaucoma, retina, and cornea specialists.
At Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates, Dr. Reed is director of student and resident programs from the Pennsylvania, New England and Southern Colleges of Optometry. Dr. Reed is an adjunct faculty member of the Pennsylvania, New England and Southern Colleges of Optometry. He serves as president of the State Board of Optometry and of the Quality Enhancement and Improvement Committee governing therapeutic pharmaceutical agent use. Dr. Reed is a national board examiner, clinical investigator of national research studies and an international lecturer on eye disease.
Dr. James E. Stottlemyer is a Board-Certified Optometrist with comprehensive training in the diagnosis and medical management of ocular disease.
A graduate of Lycoming College, Dr. Stottlemyer received his optometric training at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he was valedictorian of his class. Dr. Stottlemyer completed his residency program at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates, receiving extensive training in primary and pediatric eye care, as well as preoperative and postoperative care. During his training at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates, Dr. Stottlemyer worked with leading area specialists in glaucoma and retina care.
Dr. Stottlemyer is an adjunct faculty member at the Pennsylvania and New England Colleges of Optometry. He serves on the Maryland Quality Enhancement and Improvement Committee and is an international lecturer.
Dr. Scott M. Smearman, a Board-Certified Optometrist, graduated from Duquesne University and received his optometric degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
Dr. Smearman has extensive training in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease and disorders of the visual system. Dr. Smearman completed his residency certification at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates, receiving training in primary and pediatric eye care as well as preoperative and postoperative care in a variety of surgical procedures.
Dr. Smearman is an adjunct faculty member of the Pennsylvania and New England Colleges of Optometry. He is a clinical investigator of national research studies and a frequent lecturer in Maryland on eye disease.
Dr. Yi Zhang, a retinal surgeon is fellowship trained and has extensive training and experience treating diseases of the retina. He is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology & Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
Dr. Jones is an Optometrist specializing in geriatric eye care, ocular disease, and low vision. She completed her primary care and ocular disease residency at Perry Point VAMC where she received extensive training in various specialties including glaucoma, retina, cornea/contact lens, and neurology.
