James E. Stottlemyer, O.D. is an Optometrist who provides routine and specialized eye health & vision care to patients from throughout Maryland. Dr. Stottlemyer earned his Doctorate of Optometry from Pennsylvania College of Optometry followed by a Residency in Primary & Pediatric Eye Care at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates. During his training at Seidenberg Protzko Eye Associates, Dr. Stottlemyer worked with leading area specialists in glaucoma and retina care and managed preoperative and postoperative care in a variety of surgical procedures.

Dr. Stottlemyer sees patients for comprehensive eye care and all types of eye health & vision correction including contact lenses for astigmatism and bifocal contact lenses. His has a special interest in cataracts, glaucoma, retina problems such as diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration (AMD).

Certification & Professional Memberships

Dr. Stottlemyer is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO) and serves as an adjunct faculty member at the Pennsylvania and New England Colleges of Optometry as well as on the Maryland Quality Enhancement and Improvement Committee and is an international lecturer.
