Dr. Sang N. Tran is an ophthalmologist specializing in general ophthalmology and cataract surgery.

Dr. Tran earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with Honors from Johns Hopkins University in 2016. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2021. He continued his training with a residency in Ophthalmology at the same institution, which he completed in 2025.

Dr. Tran offers patients comfortable, convenient, close to home same day ambulatory eye surgery at the Mid-Atlantic Surgery Pavilion, located in Aberdeen, MD.

Dr. Tran is passionate about helping patients protect and improve their vision with compassionate, personalized care and the latest advancements in ophthalmology.

During his residency, Dr. Tran was honored with the Richard M. Susel, MD ’66 Award for Outstanding Clinical Performance in Ophthalmology, recognizing his excellence in patient care and clinical achievement.
